“A rich and meaningful life is not the absence of discomfort, but the willingness to move toward what matters.”

therapy
My approach is grounded in attachment science, which shows that our early relationships shape an internal blueprint—what attachment theorist John Bowlby (1969) called an internal working model—that influences how we seek closeness, protect ourselves, and understand others. When that blueprint has been disrupted by trauma, inconsistent caregiving, or later relational ruptures, it can lead to patterns such as anxiety, avoidance, overthinking, shutdown, or feeling “too much” or “not enough.”
Therapy offers a secure base to explore and reorganize these patterns. I draw from CBT, ACT, IFS-informed parts work, mindfulness, and somatic concepts to help you understand your attachment strategies, reduce reactivity, and build a more flexible, grounded internal experience. I also specialize in working with binge eating behaviors and other avoidance strategies, which often function as protective responses to unmet attachment needs or emotional overwhelm. Areas of focus include:
• DATING & RELATIONSHIP PATTERNS
• BREAKUPS & DIVORCE
• PARENTING & FAMILY DYNAMICS
• SUPPORTING SECURE ATTACHMENT IN CHILDREN
• BINGE EATING & AVOIDANCE-BASED COPING
• MINDFULNESS, EMOTIONAL REGULATION & LIFE SATISFACTION
